Chapter 1: Beginning of a Voyage

My personal and academic lives have been blessed with ongoing technological advancements. From a young age, I faced health challenges that exposed me to complex technology. To a child's eyes, it seemed like rocket science – wires attached to my head, doctors scrutinizing computer screens, deciphering my brain waves. In the academic aspect of my life, I have also been blessed with resources aiding my academic pursuit. Various pieces of software and hardware helped my previous academic endeavors. These early transformative encounters with technology instilled a deep appreciation of the incredible minds behind these technological advancements.

With my current appreciation of technology, I want to learn methods and techniques for using technology to aid students in each of their academic pursuits. I want to utilize technology to enhance rather than hinder the educational experience. I envision creating educational websites as valuable resources for students' learning ventures. I am motivated to pursue this because I had little access to such resources during my student years in the Philippines. I believe they can be especially beneficial for students in areas where such resources are not accessible due to controllable factors.
