With a background in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Business Marketing, I bring a unique blend of linguistic expertise and communication skills to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences for students.

 

Professional Experience

 

• TESOL Leadership: As a presidency member of the BYU-Hawaii TESOL Society, I collaborated with peers and professionals to organize events like Internship Night and research presentations, providing opportunities for professional development and networking.

• Classroom Expertise: I have experience teaching English to diverse learners, including IELTS preparation courses and lessons focused on academic listening, speaking, and vocabulary.

• Research and Innovation: My research on language attitudes and accents, presented at the Undergraduate Research Conference, underscores my commitment to understanding the sociolinguistic factors that impact language learning.

• Workplace ESL Integration: My experience in reservations at Hawaii’s leading tourist attraction, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and my background in email marketing have honed my ability to apply language skills in real-world, professional contexts.
