Browse through the ISTE standards for teachers, and consider some of those indicators. Can you recall teachers you’ve had in the past who embody these standards?
I can definitely think of teachers from my past educational experiences who exhibited the ISTE standards. For instance, the Learner standard was perfectly exemplified by my Biology Professor in college in the Philippines. In order to enhance student learning, she was constantly investigating new technologies

and incorporating them into her lessons. Throughout the summer, she would go to professional development workshops and return with a ton of fresh concepts to try in the classroom. Her contagious enthusiasm for learning motivated us to be inquisitive and lifelong learners.
Which standards and indicators do you feel will be most important for you as a teacher, and why? Which are you most likely to promote for students in your classroom, and why?
The Facilitator and Analyst standards will be crucial for me regarding which standards are most important as a teacher. The emphasis on using technology to support student achievement in the Facilitator standard is consistent with my belief that digital tools can improve learning outcomes. Because of the growing significance of data-informed instruction in the current educational environment, I identify with the Analyst standard, which calls for using data to guide instruction and assist students in achieving their learning goals.
I would place the Citizen standard first when promoting standards for students in my classroom. Students must comprehend how to contribute positively and participate responsibly online in our increasingly digital society. This covers everything, from being aware of digital traces to respecting property rights to acting honorably online. I want to teach my students to be responsible online by advocating for this standard.

It is a privilege to be taught by teachers who do the extra work in seeking out resources to enhance learning like your former teacher. We have many great teachers all around the world doing great things, but there are only a few who are exceptional. We can always learn from teachers like your former teacher, thank you.
